SOUTHERN METHODIST COLLEGE
Newsletter – August 29, 2017
Welcome to the Southern Methodist College Newsletter. This newsletter will be sent out periodically to keep you informed as to the college life and activities.
The summer term and 2016-2017 academic year ended on July 17th, and our students enjoyed a well-earned break from July 18 – August 21. The first term of the Fall Semester began last week. Registration for the fall semester second term will begin on October 1st, and the second term will begin on October 25th.
We are happy to announce that on-line registration and on-line payments are available at our general web-site: www.smcollege.edu. On-line registration has been a suggestion made by several students and we are happy to make the process easier for our students.
We look forward to our new and returning on-line students for the 2017-2018 academic year. Please take note of the following. On-line students will be receiving their assignments through our dedicated website. To begin your class, please go to: online.smcollege.edu. Shekhinah Courson will notify you of two important pieces of information: Your username and your password. She may be reached firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to our on-site students for the second term. Please take note of the following. On-site students will meet class beginning on August 22nd in Room 104 of Gamble Hall: Evangelism & Discipleship will be offered at 6:00 PM and Life of Christ will be offered at 8:00 PM. A traditional syllabus and list of assignments will be given at that time. These courses will be available on-line for the second fall term.
We are happy to report that major renovations have been made and continue to be made in the Terry Hall Guest House and in Gamble Hall this summer. A special thanks to those who have donated their time, talents, and monies to assist in these projects. Also, Shekhinah has started a project of re-editing our existing classroom videos to make improvements in audio and video quality.
