Welcome to the Southern Methodist College Newsletter.  This newsletter will be sent out periodically to keep you informed as to the college life and activities.

We have just completed the second term of the Fall Semester, and hope that you continue to enjoy your studies. The Spring Semester will begin on January 9th, and we are now registering for spring semester classes. If you have questions about which courses you should take, please contact me at

We remind you of the option of on-line registration and on-line payments available at our general web-site: On-line registration has been a suggestion made by several students and we are happy to provide this service.

Financial assistance is available to our students. We are thankful for a number of scholarships that are being provided to our students who apply.  For further information, please contact Dr. Hucks.

News around campus . . . We welcome Dr. John W. “Billy” Griffith back to our teaching faculty.  Dr. Griffith is a Southern Methodist College graduate before going on to graduate studies. He has taught in past years at our College and is now available to teach again. . . . Congratulations to our President, Dr. Vic Reasoner, who will be marrying his best friend Cindy on January 1st in Kentucky. Dr. Reasoner will be “off the grid” from January 1-15.
